iLEAP: Grades 6 & 7
April 1 - 3 and 6 - 9, 2009
The test provides NRT scores aligned with Louisiana's Grade Level Expectations. NRT scores determine how well individual students perform relative to the norm group of students who took the test. Scores are reported as percentiles, stanines, and standard scores.
The test also provides CRT scores based on Louisiana Grade Level Expectations. CRT scores report how well a student has mastered the state content standards. Scores are reported as Advanced, Mastery, Basic, Approaching Basic, and Unsatisfactory.
The difference between the NRT and CRT components of the test are the manner in which test results may be interpreted. The Iowa Test Items count for NRT scores. Both the Iowa Test Items and the GLE-Based Items count for CRT scores.
iLEAP provides a good prediction of how students will perform on LEAP21. This test helps teachers plan instruction based on individual strengths and weaknesses of students. |
